Dogs and their handlers in the Junior Showmanship division at the 137th annual Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

I don’t often look back in review—too busy looking ahead, I think—but I’ve got a few minutes, and this seems like a good opportunity to do it.

Last year’s shoots were for a wide a range of clients and markets, and included corporate, advertising, catalog, editorial, performance, and non-profit. The NY Times joined my client list, and I got published in New York magazine. And Conde Nast licensed an image for advertising in a Vanity Fair insert through one of my stock agencies. (That last is a funny story unto itself.) I did some pro-bono work for a non-profit I care about, Flashes of Hope, which provides portraits for families of kids being treated for cancer. And, as always, I shot a lot of personal work.

More of my favorite photos from 2013 can be seen here.

On to 2014!
