I sometimes lose track of the range of assignments I get, and 2014 included a range I hadn’t paid much attention to until I looked through my shoot catalog for the year.

The year kicked off with studio catalog shoots for Trellis Fine Florals at NoHo Productions. I also shot their arrangements at charitable events that included Surgeons for Hope and the Junior League.
I had a number of assignments for Morgan Stanley, all the kind of storytelling that I love, and which ranged from a profile of a financial advisor who volunteered helping pre-school children in South Africa to a full day covering the High School Business Skills Olympics at Morgan Stanley’s Westchester campus. The Business Olympics was co-sponsored by the African American Men of Westchester, and it was great to see 16 teams from high schools working out and presenting business case studies.
Highlights of 2014 also included restaurant assignments from the NY Times, and ranged from casual Korean at Dotory to formal French at The Simone. The Simone, by the way, was one of Pete Wells’ best new restaurants of 2014.
Assignments from BAM ranged from the fun and boisterous Hip Hop Nation in a performance for high school students to Beckett’s radio play Embers to Art Spiegelman to the moving Basetrack Live.
I shoot for Flashes of Hope when I can, a non-profit that provides portraits for young cancer patients. These shoots are always fun for me, the kids, and their families.
And now on to 2015! So far, assignments for advertising, corporate, and performances are in the pipeline. Get in touch to put your photography on my calendar.
